Make a financial account inactive

You may want to make a financial account that has transaction activity inactive if you no longer use that account but might do so in the future.

Note: You can edit transactions associated with an inactive financial account.

  1. From the company setup menu, choose Financial Accounts.
  2. Click the account you want to make inactive.
  3. Mark the Make account inactive checkbox.
  4. Click Save.

Notes

  • When you make a financial account inactive, that account will no longer appear in the list of accounts in the Financial Accounts screen by default. Also, the inactive financial account will not appear in the Banking screen for selection on new transactions.
  • To see inactive accounts, mark the Include Inactive checkbox in the Financial Accounts screen. Inactive accounts appear in italicized text in the list.
  • To reactivate an account, mark the Include Inactive checkbox in the Financial Accounts screen, click the inactive account, clear the Make account inactive checkbox, and click Save.
  • Inactive accounts cannot be connected to bank feeds. If you make an account that is connected to bank feeds inactive and want to reconnect the account in the future, you will need to delete and re-add the account so that all information is in the same account.
  • Inactive accounts will not appear in the selections list for transactions, but the accounts will still be available in the Filter processes throughout the app.
  1. Do one of the following.

    • Tap > Financial Accounts > account to make inactive.
    • Tap More > Settings > Financial Accounts > account to make inactive.
  2. Tap the Active switch.
  3. At the prompt, press OK.
  4. Tap Save.
