Review and import bank feeds

You can review and import your bank feeds to keep your banking information updated. When you retrieve bank feeds, OnBalance attempts to retrieve transactions from the financial insitutions to which you are currently connected.

Notes

  • When you retrieve bank feeds for the first time, the transactions could range from one month to 12 months of history, depending on the financial institution.
  • If there are no transactions in the Review Bank Feeds screen, you should check again the next day.
  • Once you successfully import the bank feeds, you can view the transactions in the Banking screen.
  1. In the Banking screen, click Retrieve Bank Feeds.
  2. Transactions that are available will be displayed in the Review Expenses and Review Deposits tabs in the Review Bank Feeds screen.

    • Click the Review Expenses tab to review expense transactions, and update the information, if necessary.
    • Click the Review Deposits tab to review deposit transactions, and update the information, if necessary.

    Notes

    • OnBalance will map the dates the transactions cleared the financial institution.
    • OnBalance will also map categories based on the transaction description. You can change the category in the Review screens.
  3. Click Import.
  1. Once you import bank feeds, tap the Success! message that indicates the number of transactions that were imported to open the transaction list for review.
  2. In the Banking screen, tap the transaction you want to review to open the Edit Screen.
  3. Tap Edit if you need to change the transaction, and then change the transaction as needed.
  4. Press Save.
