Connect OnBalance to financial accounts for bank feeds

Before you can import your bank feeds for your transactions, you must connect your OnBalance accounts to the appropriate financial institution accounts. Once you connect and match accounts, you can easily and quickly import bank feeds to save data entry time.

Notes

  • OnBalance imports only checking, savings, and credit card accounts from bank feeds. If you have other accounts that you set up in OnBalance, you will still see the information for those accounts in the Financial Accounts screen in OnBalance.
  • Once you connect an account, you can edit the account description or remove the account so that it is not added to OnBalance.
  • Once you save the account, the account is added to OnBalance with a status of Connected.

To connect a financial account for bank feeds, do the following.

  1. When you add a financial account, click Connect Account in the panel that opens.

Note: If you do not want to connect the financial account, click the Or manually enter account details and transactions link. The New Account panel will open, where you can add your account information to OnBalance.

  2. Read and accept the license agreement.
  3. Search for your banking institution by entering the name of the institution in the Search field and selecting your institution from the search results list.

Note: If your financial institution is not in the search results list, Yodlee might not support that financial institution. If this happens, you should contact your accountant, who can then contact Accounting CS Support and request that Yodlee add that institution in the future.

  4. Enter your log in credentials for your banking institution.

Once your credentials are validated, you will see a list of all of your accounts with that banking institution.

  5. Click All Done.
  6. Review the accounts that will be added to OnBalance and connected with your bank feed.

Note: Account names must be unique in OnBalance. You can change the account name or remove accounts that you do not want to add.
